BOLTS' EXCITED AFTER ANOTHER BUSY OFFSEASON |
Bolt's Acquire Veteran Talent to Succeed NOW
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Chargers have brought in more talent this offseason than ever before. GM Jordan Schoenberg is sick and tired of losing season after season, and has therefore decided to sacrifice an investment on young talent to bring in elite, veteran presence on a team in dire need of it. The details of the Bolts' offseason acquisitions follow:
Trade #1
Chargers Send:
2.7
CB Meir Perry
Seahawks Send:
WR Jerome Slater (99 SPD, 94 AGI, 93 ACC)
Analysis: The Chargers' passing attack was one of the worst in the league last year. With the addition of Slater, the Chargers will now boast one of the fastest receiving corps in the league, as 99 SPD Slater will team up with 99 SPD Watkins. The Chargers are hoping to relieve some pressure off the ground game and the QB position by amassing talented athletes to roam the opposing teams' secondaries.
Trade #2 (pending anticipated agreement)
Chargers Send:
3.7
Patriots Send:
QB John Thompson
Analysis: The addition of John Thompson should finally provide the Chargers with a sure-fire thing at the QB position. For two seasons in a row, Chargers' quarterbacks have thrown more INT's than TD's, and have refused to post a passer rating above 70.0. John Thompson is an elite QB with at least two productive seasons left in the tank (he is 33). With 98 AWR, 93 THP, and 99 THA, the Chargers should finally see some production in the passing attack.
Trade #3
Chargers Send:
1.7
Next year's 3rd round draft pick
Jets Send:
1.32
CB Ike Williams
LOLB Darnel Gonzalez
Analysis: The Chargers wanted to move 1.7, and Hal's Jets were the perfect suitors. This trade provides the Chargers with youth at the OLB position (an issue they wanted to address this offseason) and an elite player at the CB position. CB Ike Williams is a bonafide legend in TWR, and he is only 30 years old. He should give the Chargers' defense an extra BITE as he roams the secondary using his 86 CTH to snatch/deflect balls that come his way. And the best part is, the Chargers still have a first round draft pick in this very deep draft to address their other depth issues.
This season could be a good one for the Chargers, but GM Jordan Schoenberg is no longer so ignorant as to think that he can possibly predict success for his Bolts.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jordan Schoenberg

BOLTS ACQUIRE QB FROM RAVENS |
C H A R G E R S <-------> R A V E N S
The Chargers and Ravens have come to a trade agreement with will most-likely be approved by the JAG in the upcoming days. The details of the trade follow:
Chargers Send:
Next year's 4th round draft pick
Ravens Send:
QB Wade Millen
The Chargers are excited to acquire QB Wade Millen. He will bring with him the qualities only instilled in a veteran (93 AWR). While QB Derek Dixon will surely compete for the starting job (with 85 AWR, and 96 THP + 98 THA), Millen will offer something Dixon has never had--the ability to avoid sacks and make smart decisions. While Dixon has superior attributes, it is likely the Chargers will initially start Millen, and then ease Dixon back into the starting job. GM Jordan Schoenberg is crossing his fingers that he just acquired the Wade Millen from a few seasons ago (17 TD's, 2 INT, 100+ Passer Rating), as opposed to the Millen of other years.
GM Jordan Schoenberg would love to hear feedback from the TWR community. Should the Chargers start Millen or Dixon next season?

BOLTS & FINS CAP OFF BUSY OFFSEASON:: STAR-SWAP |
C H A R G E R S <----> D O L P H I N S
The Chargers and Dolphins have finally come to an agreement after two days of back-and-forth negotiating. The details of the trade follow:
Chargers Send:
WR William Grandmont
Next year's 3rd round draft pick
Dolphins Send:
DE Sleepy Warner
WR Bob Urban
This trade is quite an interesting one. Both the Chargers and the Dolphins are giving up elite players at their respective positions:
WR Grandmont is an immensely talented prospect, with super-agility and a flawless frame. He is highly-valued by GM Jordan Schoenberg, despite the fact that he has been traded.
DE Sleepy Warner is another S.T.U.D. There are only three other DE's in the league with over-80 STR, SPD, ACC, and AGI, and Warner has the highest ACC out of all of them.
The trade works for both franchises, and here's why:
The Chargers boasted one of the worst defenses in the league last year. Despite productivity on offense, the Bolts simply could not stop their opponents when they needed to. In fact, the team was the 2nd worst in TWR in 3rd-down stops. GM Jordan Schoenberg attributes this sad tendency to the Chargers' inability to apply pressure to the QB. They went from 1st in the league in sacks a few seasons ago, to last in the league this past year. With the addition of Warner and rookie DE Boss Webster, the Chargers look to establish their pass-rush as one of the most feared in TWR.
The Dolphins badly-needed a WR. All of their receivers have glaring weaknesses; they are either old, slow, un-agile, or short. Bringing in Grandmont will provide the Dolphins with a receiver without flaws. He is big, strong, fast, and super-agile. Moreover, his AWR and CTH are finally at a level where Grandmont can compete as one of the best receivers in the league. As of the publication of this article, GM Schoenberg is still amazed that he let Grandmont go.
BUT, the Chargers did acquire WR Bob Urban--a wily veteran with wonderful AWR, solid physical attributes, and 99 JMP. The Chargers will start WR Joey Watkins, WR Bob Urban, and WR Terry Wheeler next season. Urban will be a temporary fix at the #2 WR position, but he will be good enough to complement Watkins, and provide Dixon with a veteran target. The Chargers will address the exit of WR Grandmont in next season's draft.
So, the trade works for both parties. It was a pleasure dealing with Mr. Chapman. I think both managers will be ecstatic about each player's productivity.

BOLTS DEAL #2: BYE BYE BYRON |
E A G L E S <----> C H A R G E R S MAKE A DEAL
Early in the afternoon, the Chargers and Eagles came to an agreement regarding an HB-swap. The deal is pending JAG approval. Details below:
Chargers Send:
HB Byron Emanuel
Eagles Send:
HB Trevor Braxton
3rd Round Pick
It has been well-publicized that GM Jordan Schoenberg has been unhappy with the production from HB Byron Emanuel--a player that he dearly coveted in the draft a mere three years ago. His statistics have been underwhelming, as Emanuel has not exceeded 7 TD's in his first three seasons. Moreover, he has been a large contributor to the Bolts' last-place 3rd down conversion % as he has been unable to pick up those necessary few yards on 3rd and 2. While Schoenberg thinks Emanuel will break out in one of the next few seasons, his "win now" attitude forced his hand in the Bolts-Eagles deal.
Instead of optimistically hoping that Emanuel will turn into an elite back, Schoenberg went out and got an HB that has arguably been the most productive in the last three years in TWR. Most importantly, Braxton has scored TD after TD, amassing 15 TD's twice in the past three seasons. He has 99BTK, and has proven that he can get those precious few inches that turn a decent team into a great one. While his attributes are clearly inferior to those of Emanuel, Schoenberg decided that proven success outweighs the few attribute-losses that come with Braxton. And the Chargers will surely welcome Braxton's brute strength--an attribute Emanuel is lacking.
This trade is a good one. Both sides are happy. The Chargers acquired a proven elite HB. The Eagles upgraded @ HB, attribute-wise. I hope Neal gets the most out of Emanuel. I just couldn't wait any longer. In my eyes, it's win now, or don't bother managing. Here's hoping Braxton does the trick.
