NY Giants Draft Day!
1.3 -- HB Jeremy Hanks 6'4", 242 The big back we wanted to reguvenate our running game. He should provide an immediate impact for the g-men.

1.11 -- CB Cory Muhammed 5'11",201 He looks to be a very solid CB to help our secondary to keep our defense improving.

2.3 -- WR Marquez Combs 6'4", 217 A speedster to help fill the hole left by Thomas Abraham. However, those are big shoes to fill so it will be interesting this season for the Giants.

2.10 -- LE Ronald Mason 6'2", 260 We liked his speed and strength here although his agi and acc is on the questionable side. Wait and see.

3.3 -- SS Steve Tucker Felt that this was the best player on the board at the position we were looking to fill.

3.17 -- LOLB Marvin Cook We felt again that he was the best player on our board at this time. Plus he should give us great depth at the linebacker position.

5.2 -- FB David Abbott Figured we would stretch here and look for a diamond in the rough so to speak. Fast and has ok hands but not good at blocking.

5.3 -- DT Mario Edwards Like his height and weight but looked for filler here..well should say had my auto set wrong but not a bad pick here.

5.17 -- WR Damien Busse 5'10", 185 A stretch here but worth taking.

6.3 -- CB Darnell Fernandez 6'1", 193 Could use a little help in the speed dept here and brains but maybe worth keeping. We are not sure yet.

The 2019 draft for the Giants has concluded with a plethora of picks. We feel that it has been a fruitful draft giving us some good weapons to get back to the top of the NFC East. We are looking forward to a very good 2019.

NY The Place Where Nobody Sleeps!
Yes the Giants spent 2018 in mediocrity! Thats right mediocrity. This was the first season that saw an over abundance of injuries occur to the boys in blue. We had a cornerback go down for 3 - 4 weeks, LOLB Addis go down for over 9 weeks and yes WR Abraham get injured twice no less.

So we have a new outlook for 2019. We are not standing on our laurels any longer. We have hit the trade market running full steam ahead gearing up for the TWR draft. We have a plan to get to the top in 2019 if this works out. It may be a different team that hits the field in 2019 with noone looking back to the past.

Of course these deals are subject to league approval but the front office for the Giants believes they are all equal on both sides.

First trade involves the Vikings:

Giants send: WR Tony Parkman
Vikings send: 3rd and 5th round picks

We thought Parkman to be expendable here to get younger with a deep draft this season. Hopefully, this will help get to a 2 prong attack.

Second trade involves the Falcons:

Giants send: HB Terrance Rogers and 7th round pick
Falcons send: 5th round pick

We gain a pick here and lose a pick. However, there was a reason to send this pick which should come into play in a later deal.

There are other possible trades on the Gms desk that we are currently evaluating their significance for the Giants. One is a blockbuster deal which could turn everyone's eyes westward.

The gm believes this could be a very good offseason for the Giants and could see a very much improved team in 2019 if things go correctly which in the madden world we all know is not predictable.

Say It Aint So
East Rutherford-- The New York Giants have been hit severly by the injury bug this season. First it was their HB Terrence Rogers, who we aquired via a trade with the Falcons this past off season, to go down for 2 weeks with some unexplained illness. BUt the most horrific news coming out of New Orleans this past week is that the TWR sensation Thomas Abraham has finally come down with an injury sending him to the sideline for atleast 2 weeks. Also Sedrick Redmond our 1st year CB has been sidelined for atleast 7 weeks.

Say it so...as the world is spiralling out of control, with the British Open being lost by Old Tom this past weekend and now the Giants have to live without Abraham for atleast 2 weeks. This can't be happenin to the boys in blue!

We will have to get back on the right track next week as the travelling wilbury's make their 5th road trip in a row. By the way we travel for the first 9 weeks of the season but then we are stuck at home for the remainder of the schedule.

Giants Draft 2018
1.25 -- Eddie Douglas LT 6'8", 359 He should help immediately at LT with the release of our current starter. With a favorable scew he hsould be massive.

2.6 -- Carlton Fuller WR 6'2 219 Speed was suspect but everything else was pretty good here. He should give Ballard another good receiver to go to this season. We were questioning whether to go HB with this pick but felt Fuller will help more here at this pick.

3.25 -- Evan Wilkinson TE 6'6, 287 Hopefully the scew works in our favor with this pick. He should have decent speed for a TE and hands.
